GLO2 oxygenating facial in progress at our Charleston med spa

GLO2 —
The Preservation

Oxygenation, exfoliation and infusion at once. The facial that changes how your skin works, not just how it looks tonight.

In short

GLO2 by Geneo generates CO2 on the skin surface, prompting your body to flood the area with oxygen-rich blood while the handpiece exfoliates and infuses actives. It raises skin metabolism and absorption — cumulative rather than instant, and with no downtime. Optional RF for mild laxity.

Overview

A facial that works on function, not just finish.

Everything about the way we practice favours treatments that compound, and GLO2 is the clearest example on the facial menu. It works by a small, elegant trick: a capsule reacts with a gel on your skin to release CO2, your body reads the local CO2 as a signal, and it responds by sending oxygen-rich blood into the dermis.

That oxygen surge does two useful things. It raises metabolic activity in the skin — which over a series means better tone, firmer texture and more even color — and it dramatically improves how much of the infused actives your skin will actually take up. The exfoliation and infusion happen in the same pass.

We named it The Preservation because it is the appointment that most rewards patience. One is pleasant. Four, monthly, changes what your skin does. That is the difference between a facial and a plan, and it is why it sits at the center of our menu.

What it does

Four changes, built over a series.

01

Oxygenation

A CO2 reaction on the surface triggers oxygen-rich blood flow into the dermis, raising metabolic activity.

02

Exfoliation

Gentle mechanical resurfacing in the same pass, without acid or heat.

03

Infusion

Actives absorb into oxygenated skin far more efficiently than into skin at rest.

04

Optional RF

Geneo radio frequency can be added for mild laxity along the jaw and cheek.

The Preservation approach

Four, not one.

We will happily do a single GLO2 before an event, but we will also tell you that the treatment earns its name across a series. Monthly is where it works.

Series of four to six, spaced monthly
RF add-on only where laxity genuinely warrants it
Actives selected per skin at each visit
Photographs at intake and after four sessions
No downtime — bookable around a working week
Your visit

What the appointment looks like.

01

Assessment

Magnified analysis, and a decision on whether RF should be added for your skin.

02

Primer & capsule

A primer gel and the Geneo capsule react on the skin — a gentle effervescence, then warmth.

03

Oxy pass

Thirty to forty minutes of combined oxygenation, exfoliation and infusion across face and neck.

04

Finish

LED, sunscreen, and your next appointment booked four weeks out.

The Society Circle

GLO2 by Geneo — The Preservation — is one of the monthly Society Circle selections, which makes running a full series straightforward.

Questions

Frequently asked.

What is a GLO2 facial?

{{ s0 }}

GLO2 by Geneo uses a capsule that reacts with a primer gel on your skin to produce CO2. Your body responds by sending oxygen-rich blood to the area, which increases metabolism in the skin while the handpiece exfoliates and infuses actives at the same time.

Why do you call it The Preservation?

{{ s1 }}

Because it is the facial that most directly serves our philosophy. It improves how skin functions — circulation, oxygenation, absorption — rather than only how it looks that afternoon. It is the long game in a single appointment.

How is GLO2 different from GLACE?

{{ s2 }}

GLACE is surface work: exfoliate, extract, infuse, immediate glow. GLO2 works deeper into the metabolism of the skin and builds cumulatively. Patients often alternate the two month to month.

Can I add radio frequency?

{{ s3 }}

Yes. Geneo offers an RF handpiece for skin tightening that can be added to the same appointment for mild laxity. Your provider will tell you honestly whether your skin will benefit.

Is there downtime?

{{ s4 }}

None. Expect a warm flush for an hour or so afterwards, which most patients like. You can wear makeup the same day.

How many should I have?

{{ s5 }}

A series of four to six, monthly, produces a change you can see in photographs. After that, monthly maintenance holds it.
