DiolazeXL is a diode laser with an integrated cooling sapphire tip. It disables hair follicles during their active growth phase across a series of six to eight sessions per area, and unlike IPL it is appropriate across most skin tones. Members receive $500 off any Max package.

Hair removal does not belong to the preservation philosophy the way MOXI or neurotoxin do. It is simply a practical thing that makes life easier, and it is worth doing properly rather than in a strip-mall chain with an aging machine and an unlicensed operator.
DiolazeXL is a diode platform with a large handpiece and continuous sapphire cooling, which matters on both comfort and time. Full legs take a fraction of what older systems needed, and the cooling means most patients describe a hot pinch rather than pain.
It is also the light treatment with the widest safety envelope. Where IPL is restricted to lighter skin tones, diode wavelengths target follicular melanin efficiently enough to treat most skin safely — and it can run year-round here, provided you are not freshly sunburned.

What the appointment looks like.
Assessment
Skin tone, hair color and history. Fine blonde and gray hair responds poorly and we will say so.
Preparation
Shave the day before. Protective eyewear and a cool gel at the appointment.
Treatment
Ten minutes for underarms, up to forty-five for full legs or a back.
Between sessions
Four to six weeks on the face, six to eight on the body. No waxing or plucking between visits.

How many laser hair removal sessions do I need?

Is DiolazeXL safe for darker skin tones?
{{ s1 }}Yes. Diode lasers at this wavelength target follicular melanin efficiently while the cooling sapphire tip protects the surrounding skin, which makes DiolazeXL appropriate across most skin tones — unlike IPL. Your provider will confirm at assessment.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
{{ s2 }}Less than most people expect. The sapphire tip cools the skin continuously, so it reads as a quick hot pinch rather than a sting. Underarms and bikini are the most sensitive; legs and back are straightforward.
What areas can you treat?
{{ s3 }}Face, underarms, arms, legs, bikini, Brazilian, back, chest and abdomen. DiolazeXL has a large handpiece, so full legs or a back take considerably less time than older systems.
Is it permanent?
{{ s4 }}It produces permanent hair reduction — most patients end with a small fraction of their original hair, finer and lighter. Hormonal areas such as the face and chin often need occasional maintenance afterwards.
What do I do before and after?
{{ s5 }}Shave the area the day before, and do not wax, pluck or thread for four weeks beforehand — the follicle has to be present to be treated. Afterwards avoid sun, heat and heavy sweating for 48 hours.
Can I have laser hair removal in a Charleston summer?
