Gentle fractional resurfacing for tone, texture and Lowcountry sun damage — and the best prejuvenation treatment we offer.
MOXI is a 1927nm non-ablative fractional laser. It renews tone, texture and diffuse pigment without removing the skin surface, which means real resurfacing with three to five days of fine flaking rather than two weeks of hiding. MOXI can be used year round!
For decades, meaningful laser resurfacing meant a week indoors. MOXI changed the math. Because it is non-ablative and fractional — treating columns of skin rather than the whole surface — it triggers genuine renewal while leaving enough intact tissue to heal quickly.
What it delivers is even color and refined texture: the diffuse pigment that photographs as a dull cast, the fine crinkling that makeup settles into, the general loss of clarity after enough years on the water. It is not the tool for a discrete dark spot — that is IPL — and it is not a substitute for volume or movement work.
The general unevenness that reads as a dull cast rather than distinct spots.
Accumulated Lowcountry exposure across cheeks, nose and hairline.
Crinkling and roughness that catches makeup, especially under the eye.
Light returns to the skin — the change most obvious in photographs.
Pores appear tighter as surrounding collagen renews.
For skin with no damage yet, the most effective preventative on our menu.

We would rather run four gentle passes across four months than one aggressive session you need two weeks to recover from. The result is the same and the risk is lower.
Magnified analysis, skin-tone and melasma review, and agreement on the number of sessions.
Topical anaesthetic for thirty minutes. MOXI feels like prickling heat rather than pain.
Twenty to thirty minutes across face, neck and chest.
Warm and sunburned that evening, pink for a day or two, with fine flaking. Sunscreen is a necessity.
MOXI laser for face and neck is one of the monthly Society Circle selections — the simplest way to run a full series year round.
MOXI is a 1927nm non-ablative fractional laser. It creates microscopic columns of controlled heat in the skin, which prompts renewal without removing the surface — so you get real improvement in tone, texture and diffuse pigment with far less downtime than aggressive resurfacing.
Expect to look sunburned and feel warm for the rest of the day, pink for one to two days, then a fine sandpaper texture with tiny dark flecks — called MENDs — for three to five days as treated pigment works its way out. Makeup is fine from day two.
Three to four, spaced four weeks apart, for a visible change. Many patients then maintain with one or two a year. MOXI is available year round.
It is our most-recommended treatment for patients in their late twenties and thirties who have no significant damage yet. It keeps tone even and texture fine, which is far easier than correcting either later. It is also a productive tool for patients of all ages who simply want a skin refresh.
Yes! The wonderful thing about MOXI is you can use it year round.
Cautiously. MOXI is gentler than most resurfacing lasers and is sometimes used in melasma, but heat can provoke it. We usually stabilize pigment with peels and topicals first and treat conservatively.
Yes, and it is a common pairing — IPL for discrete brown spots and vessels, MOXI for overall texture and diffuse tone. They are often done in the same visit or two weeks apart.
